Hello All,
My sister has given me an art prompt-- to create a drawing of a Skinwalker. I see several visions of what I would like it to be but so far I have been unable to make it happen on paper. I so need to expand my drawing skills.
I will keep working on what I now will label a challenge. I will finish the picture. It may not turn out good, but it will get finished and I will post a picture of it here, and yes you are allowed to laugh, because I already have laughed several times at it myself.(I've also sighed a few times). There is no shame in what I produce; it all leads to my eventually being able to produce what I see in my mind.
I just keep telling myself that success is 90% persistence and 10% practice, or do I have that backwards?? Should it be 90% practice and 10% persistence? Hmm I donno, without that persistence, I would never get around to doing the practice. Yea, it's kind of tricky.
My sister has already completed her Skinwalker prompt. http://fineartamerica.com/featured/skinwalker-sondra-hefner-nautycrow-studio.html

Enough of my rambling.
Until next time and may your day be blessed.

A failure is not always a mistake. It may simply be the best one can do under the circumstances. The real mistake is to stop trying.

I have been very busy these last few months as I have joined an online art class and I'm loving it.
It has increased my productivity with drawing and painting by leaps and bounds. The downside is that my productivity with my knitting has almost gone to ziltch, nada, nothing. Oh well, there is only so much free time and right now the art is calling. If any one wants a cool art class at a great price Ever After 2016 is what I currently am doing and it is a blast.
Ever After 2016
The next class that I am planning on doing is an art journaling class hosted by the same person, Tamara Laporte. It is called Life Book 2017. I encourage you to give it a try, and I don't think you'll regret it.
Here is some of the work I have produced from doing the Ever After 2016 classes.

The Little Mermaid class taught by Tamara Laporte
A second one done just for the fun of it,hey you can't ever have to many mermaids.
Sleeping Beauty with Jane Davenport.
Little Red Ridding Hood with Micki Wilde.
This one is Snow White and the poisoned apple with Annie Hamman.
I hope you enjoyed my art and I will try to post more of it soon,

I got the OakCrone Studio Facebook page made today with a link to my Etsy Shop so maybe business will start rolling soon.

I also would like to give my gratitude to NautyCrow for all the hard work she has put into taking the photos of my products for my shop. Gratitude and blessings sent your way NautyCrow. I love you.

My main worry about getting into the selling business is that I can only work on one thing at a time so my available item count will be low, and the fact that there are items I want to make just for myself. These are problems hopefully I will be able to work out.

Now! for the rest of the day I think I will  have a small drink, and play a little EQ2 until I'm tired, then finish the day off with some knitting before bed. Ya'll have yourself a great day.

Ok, I'm new to this and don't know how much time I will have to devote to this blog, crafting time demands are more important.
I'm a 50 yr. old craftswoman and I have tried my hand at  everything I possibly could. At this time I mostly knit with some crochet and spinning thrown in. Weaving is in my future but time restraints are keeping me from that endeavor at this time. I also have decided to give watercolor another try and see if it comes to me easier this go around.
I work at my office job 5 days a week, 10 hours a day, but the remainder of the time I usually knit because I can do that even while the grandkids are here, and I find that knitting greatly reduces my stress levels.
